Our valued construction client is searching for a Corporate Controller to join their team. The successful candidate is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of timely, useful, financial reporting. As well as maintenance of accounting records, statements, and charts of accounts for all entities. This role will report directly to the Vice President, Finance. The Corporate Controller will also assist in the coordination of the Company audits and reviews, financing, and budget management functions.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Act as a strategic business partner with company leadership in providing recommendations on key issues presented
- Participates in the development and evaluation of the company’s goals and strategies as a member of the management team
- Lead processes on projections, forecasting and budgeting
- Measure and report on financial KPI’s, demonstrating leadership to improve metrics where necessary
- Continuously work on refining and improving internal processes to maximize workflow and efficiencies
- Leading or assisting in special projects as assigned
Your strengths include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent combination of experience and non-commerce degree
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) and/or MBA
- 10+ years of financial and some leadership experience in a related field
- Strong business acumen, financial skills, integrity, and strategic thinking abilities
- Must have strong organization, planning, and execution skills
- Collaborative, a team player who utilizes communication techniques and methods that generate trust, collaboration, and open two-way communication and a supportive work environment
