Role Description

As the Construction Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our multi-family project. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment, preventing accidents and injuries.
• Site Management: Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring project is on time and within budget.
• Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards and enforce adherence to construction plans and specifications.
• Site Supervision: Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, laborers, and the construction team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Scheduling: Create and manage construction schedules, coordinating the activities of multiple trades and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
• Budget Management: Monitor project costs, collaborate with project managers, and manage expenditures to stay within budget.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project challenges and issues promptly to keep the project on track.
• Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for the construction team, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of project progress, changes, and issues for legal and financial purposes.
• Client Relations: Address client questions, concerns, and inquiries regarding project progress and quality.
• Permit and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all permits and regulatory requirements are met, handling inspections and addressing non-compliance promptly.

This is a full-time on-site Construction Superintendent role located in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in large multi-family projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• FirstAid certifications and working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations.
• Ability to make quick decisions and work well under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Certificate of Qualification in a Red Seal Trade considered an asset.
