About the role:

As the Vice President of People and Culture, you will report directly to Redstone’s President and manage all People and Culture functions at Redstone. You will be responsible to provide strategic direction and support for all department Directors, the leadership team, and to the organization’s HR department, ensuring company alignment, succession planning, and a remarkable culture.

With advanced senior-level leadership experience, the Vice President of People and Culture will have a record of success leading organizational change and fostering dynamic organizational cultures. You will be responsible for ensuring that our people, our culture, and our core values are key considerations in developing and implementing strategy, priorities, policies, and operating principles for Redstone while ensuring they are affordable and realistic. The Vice President of People and Culture will lead and inspire the development and implementation of a progressive strategy that will advance Redstone’s organizational culture and cultivate an equitable, inclusive, respectful, engaged, and healthy work environment.

What you’ll do:

People:

• Manage, lead, and enable the growth and development of ~2 – 4 direct reports.
• Handle any significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of organizational goals or impact the culture of the organization, including resolving any challenges inadequately addressed. Inform the President and leadership team as applicable.
• Design, direct, and manage a company-wide strategy for organization development, including succession planning, workforce development, employee retention, organization design, and change management.
• Guide management and employee actions by reviewing and approving guidelines, policies, procedures, and methodology. Communicate and safeguard organizational values.
• Motivate and lead staff, ensuring a positive team dynamic and monitoring performance and development goals, mentor success, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and evaluate results.
• Present periodic updates on employee performance and metrics to the President and other management.
• Review, guide, and approve management recommendations for employment terminations and onboarding.
• Meet with HR team regularly to provide strategic leadership and discuss HR initiatives and issues.
• Direct the preparation and maintenance of various HR reports to track strategic goal accomplishment.
• Lead the development of HR goals, objectives, and systems.

Culture and Operations:

• Identify and monitor organization culture, providing recommendations to support the attainment of the organization’s goals and promote employee engagement.
• Lead a culture related committee and support culture initiatives within the company.
• Frequently check-in with the Redstone team to ensure high morale, problem solve when issues arise, and keep Redstone running efficiently.
• Responsible for the planning and execution of internal events such as Redstone’s Summer Social and Holiday Celebration with support from the Culture + Operations team.
• Partner with the President and leadership team to provide timely and value-adding advice and decisions that contribute to Redstone’s ongoing business success.
• Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan that aligns with Redstone’s core values and the guidance of the President.
• Work with the President to allocate resources to maximize effectiveness in achieving organizational goals and objectives.
• Actively contribute to the overall organizational vision and strategic planning.
• Responsible for developing annual company wide KPIs and business plans.
• Support the President and CEO in the achievement of organizational objectives and KPIs.

Department and Client Relationships:

• Coach and support the leadership team in optimizing their people to thrive and meet and/or exceed their objectives and department KPIs.
• Work with managers on coaching employees when interpersonal issue between employees and clients arises. Oversee situations and make recommendation on next steps towards resolution.
• Monitor and advise directors and managers on disciplinary procedures and improvement plans.
• Track progress of performance improvement plans with non-performing employees.
• Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support the overall goals of the organization.

You’ll thrive in this role if:

• You have 10+ years of success in Human Resources, Business Relations, Operations, and People Management. Technical expertise in a variety of HR functional areas (talent acquisition, succession planning, employee engagement, employee relations, policy and procedure development, culture initiatives, budget management).
• You hold a post-secondary degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or another related program.
• You are a conflict resolution connoisseur, have excellent people management skills and can assess complications and difficulties and swiftly deal with them to ensure high company morale and culture.
• You are resourceful and able to navigate questions around employment standards, human rights codes, occupational health and safety, etc.
• You are experienced in applying HR best practices to support senior management in achieving strategic objectives.
• You are a strategic thinker and can analyze business processes for continuous improvement.
• You can motivate and lead people in an agile and fast-paced environment. You have a vision for people and culture that aligns with and contributes to our organization’s success and core values.
• You are excited about the idea of doing meaningful work and have an eagerness to build, lead, and add value to Redstone and our clients’ success.
• You are professional and maintain strict confidentiality.
• You can juggle priorities and adapt in a busy changing environment, managing multiple projects at once, and adhering to strict deadlines.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, time management, and must be detail and process oriented to be successful in this role.
• You contribute to strategic decision-making at executive-level with a growth mindset and a positive mindset.

Serious bonus points if:

• You have experience working at an Agency, and/or Association Management industry.
• You are highly experienced managing teams and team dynamics.

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 base salary based on experience + eligible bonuses
