The Long-Term Care Division requires staff to provide person-centered care to our residents and families following the Butterfly Model of Care. This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes. Staff are to have emotional intelligence ability to deliver person-centered care in an authentic way that is meaningful to the resident and their family.
While you won’t be providing direct resident care, you will play an integral role in ensuring shifts are covered
Assistant Scheduler Central Business Support Unit (CBSU)
6 X Contract Full Time – 13 months
3 x Contract Part Time – 13 months
3 x Casual – 13 months
Reporting to a Supervisor CBSU you will provide scheduling support to the CBSU Coordinators
Responsibilities:
You will assist the Coordinators in ensuring all shifts are covered and call-ins completed for our five Regional Long Term Care homes
Answer, monitor and act on absence line calls and emails received via centralized mailbox
Make calls to staff to fill vacated shifts ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements and business rules
Document all actions and outcomes and communicate effectively to CBSU Coordinators and Supervisors any unusual occurrences or actions that require further attention
Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur
Update schedules reflecting changes as they occur
Maintain good relationships with staff and management
May occassionally be required to respond to emergency situations outside of scheduled working hours
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
An equivalent combination of education and or experience may be considered
Computer proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and EIM systems
Organized, able to prioritize work and make decisions in a fast paced work environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Positive customer service focus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member
Location: In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at 10 Peel Centre Drive. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario
Hours of work: Contract Full Time – 35 hours per week
Contract Part Time up to 30 hours per week
Casual opportunites available
various shifts Monday – Sunday between the hours of 5:00am and 11:30pm, plus every other weekend
Compensation: Band 2 – $42,591-$53,237 annually, $23.40-29.25 per hour
