The Long-Term Care Division requires staff to provide person-centered care to our residents and families following the Butterfly Model of Care. This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes. Reporting to the Manager, Practice, Innovation, Education you will liaise with internal and external partners, conduct evidence-based research and analysis and implement legislative and regulatory changes across the 5 Region of Peel operated homes
What you will do:
Develop detailed workplans, lead the implementation and operational changes across all five Long Term Care homes reflecting legislative and regulatory changes
Apply business analysis and quality improvement frameworks
Liaise with internal and external partners (including those from the Long-Term Care Division, provincial government stakeholders, and the broader health system), share practices, discuss emerging requirements, participate in working groups, and identify impacts to the division
Conduct evidence-based research, analysis and evaluation for informed decision making related to legislative and regulatory changes
Develop and/or contribute to Council reports, presentations, communications, briefing notes, Divisional guidelines and other resources to support implementation
Monitor status and regular reporting of implementation deliverables to Project Manager and other stakeholders
Utilize change management principles to support communication and implementation of process and policy changes
Maintain collaborative and supportive working relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders
Monitor and evaluate quality and outcomes of project deliverables
Plan and coordinate updates to operational practices and support development of new or revised business processes based on evolving provincial and local direction
Provide input into risks management plans and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications:
University degree in Health Sciences or Business Administration, a minimum of five years’ experience in related progressive positions
An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
Experience in Long Term Care, with knowledge of the Long Term Care Homes Act, Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021 and Ontario Regulation 246/22
Excellent skills in policy development, quantitative analysis and research, with a demonstrated ability to gather, synthesize, evaluate, interpret information from diverse sources
Working knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge and Change Management processes
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite including MS Project and understanding of LTC specific software applications
Effective oral and written communication skills
A collaborative and consultative leadership style
Organized, with strong time management skills
Location: In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at 10 Peel Centre Drive. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario
Contract Duration: 13 months
Hours of work: 35 hours per week. The Region of Peel offers job based flexible hours of work that allows employees to manage personal and professional responsibilities while at the same time ensures business operational needs and customer service expectations are achieved.
Compensation: $ 84,335 – $105,417 per year plus comprehensive long term contract benefit package
