Health Services – Peel Manor Long Term Care – 525 Main Street North, Brampton
Hourly Rate – $21.05-$22.65/hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits
Who we are:
The Long-Term Care Division requires staff to provide person-centered care to our residents and families following the Butterfly Model of Care. This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes. Staff are to have emotional intelligence ability to deliver person-centered care in an authentic way that is meaningful to the resident and their family.
Reporting to Dietary Supervisor (or designate), you will be responsible for receiving and distributing provisions and supplies as required by the Centre.
What you will do in this role:
Receives supplies, equipment and furnishings as requisitioned by the Supervisors and
Administrator of the Centre.
Prepares requisitions for re-order as required for approval by the Supervisors
Distributes supplies, equipment and furnishings as requisitioned by the various departments
in the Centre.
Maintains inventory records as required on stocks of provisions and supplies for the Centre.
Reports health and safety hazards, actively participates in eliminating causes of accidents,
and performs emergency occupational health and safety measures as required (WHMIS,
Infection Control, Fire).
Maintains good relationships with the residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors
Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, workshops, etc. as directed by the
Dietary Services Supervisor
Assists in the orientation of new facility services staff as directed
Participates in relevant aspects of the Continuous Quality Improvement program to evaluate
and improve client services
Participates in committees as required
Follows policies and procedures as outlined in the Centre’s manual
Performs other delegated duties as assigned
What the role requires:
Grade 10 or equivalent education is required
Knowledge of stock keeping and inventory procedures
Must have effective oral and written communication skills
Must be able to communicate appropriately with residents, staff, suppliers, visitors, and
volunteers
Must have basic computer skills
Must be physically able to perform all delegated duties
Compensation: As per collective agreement (CUPE 966)
Location: Peel Manor – 525 Main Street North, Brampton, ON
Hours of Work: 48 hours of work per pay period: Mondays and Thursdays – 7:00AM – 3:00PM
Tuesdays and Wednesdays – 7:00AM – 11:00AM, including holidays.
