The Long-Term Care Division requires staff to provide person-centered care to our residents and families following the Butterfly Model of Care. This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes.
Staff are to have emotional intelligence ability to deliver person-centered care in an authentic way that is meaningful to the resident and their family.
While you won’t be providing direct resident care, you will play an integral role:
by advising LTC home business office practices and liaising between the homes, Performance Innovation & Education team and the Centralized Business Support Unit
by providing advice, direction, operational support on Corporate Initiatives and oversight for LTC nursing, dietary, activation and Schedule A goods and services vendor procurement processes and contracts

What you will do:
Work with corporate partners Long Term Care and Adult Day Services for contract administration of cross homes goods and services contracts
Provide expert and strategic advice and sector best practice recommendations to stakeholders by identifying, assessing, evaluating and recommending opportunities and actions related to emerging issues, changing business directions, new initiatives and evolving Divisional needs
Recognize program deficits in cross homes goods and services contracts and recommend appropriate course of action. Supports projects that improve and/or redesign existing processes, services or programs across the division
Manage student agreements for Long Term Care and Adult Day Services
Guide and supports the LTC Centres with delegated purchasing responsibilities, development of specifications, vendor quotation process and vendor insurance requirements. Plan, develops, and manage vendor selection process and safety standards, coordinates logistics, monitor vendor performance issues and ensures adherence to all contractual obligations, including budget and renewal requirements
Develop and maintains LTC cross homes purchasing practices, including policies and processes
Provide critical analysis and expert advice in the development of Service Agreements for the provision of services acquired under Schedule A of the purchasing by-law, consults with Corporate Partners on contracts and agreements, i.e., Legal and Risk Management
Define business requirements for projects, write Project Charters (and Business Cases, if required) and obtain approvals from the Project Sponsor and/or the Steering Committee, if required
Coordinates Divisional responsibilities driven by the Ontario Health, Central Region and MOLTC. Identifies, creates and maintains linkages and partnerships with internal and external bodies. Liaises with partners to facilitate research and development of services as it pertains to operational and strategic direction and legislative changes
Participates on committees, work groups and special projects, as assigned
Qualifications:
A University degree or College diploma in Health Sciences or Business Administration and a minimum of five years experience in related progressive positions
Superior skills in research and quantitative/qualitative analysis, with a demonstrated ability to gather, synthesize, evaluate, interpret and report information from diverse sources
Knowledge and understanding of the Ministry of Long-Term Care standards, guidelines and requirements for the long term care industry
Previous procurement and vendor and contract management experience, an asset
Highly computer literate, including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project and Power point
Working knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge and project management processes. Certification by Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset
Collaborative and consultative leadership style with demonstrated ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary team setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize and present complex information for a variety of audiences
Strong facilitation,planning, problem-solving and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a high degree of discretion and diplomacy
Location: In this role you will have the ability to work mostly remote. You will be required to occasionally attend on-site meetings based on operational requirements at the 10 Peel Center Drive. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week – The Region of Peel offers job based flexible hours of work that allows employees to manage personal and professional responsibilities while at the same time ensures business operational needs and customer service expectations are achieved
Compensation: $84,335 – $105,417 anually, plus comprehensive full time benefit package

The requirement to be fully vaccinated is subject to the Ontario Human Rights Code. If you are not fully vaccinated, a documented medical reason provided by a physician or registered nurse and time period for the medical reason may be accepted.
