Duties and Responsibilities
– Provide exceptional customer service to customers and carriers.
– Help manage current customer accounts.
– Provide shipment quotes for customers and set up shipments as required by customers.
– Excellent multitasking skills
– Assist Customer Service Supervisor to achieve the objectives for the department.
– Proactively identify shipments at risk of service failure and take control of shipments to ensure on time pickup or delivery service.
– Be aware of all aspects of the business requirements/arrangements for major customers.
– Review all emails and take appropriate action.
– Handling inbound and outbound calls to customers.
– Correctly troubleshoot and proactively resolve shipment discrepancies, as needed.
– Perform shipment tracing
– Ensure all customer inquiries are handled in an efficient and professional manner.
– Ensure quality entry of all orders and proper use of notes as per SOPs.
– Ensure all special rates requests are communicated to rates department for a proper quote.
– Communicate with interline partners. Track Trace, POD retrieval.
– Update client portals, appointment details, up to and including final delivery status
– Updating SOP’s on a regular basis.
– Cross training coworkers on SOPs.
– Meet KPI standards, as per the company procedures
– Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor
Requirements and Qualifications
– The ability to work both independently and as a team player
– Solid Customer Service experience
– Excellent administrative and data entry skills
– Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong organizational and planning skills
– Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
