We are currently supporting a fantastic organisation in central York who are looking for a HR Assistant to join their HR team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary between £22,000 – £24,000 per annum. Our client is offering agile working, so there is flexibility to work from home each week. The HR Assistant will report directly into the Head of HR who is passionate about supporting and developing the HR professionals in their team. The purpose of the role is to deliver first line guidance, support, and advice to employees on a range of HR queries. You will work collaboratively and proactively with all colleagues in HR so that the collective service offer is recognised as being empowering and innovative. THE ROLE: Manage the central HR inbox, responding to HR queries and escalating complex cases where necessary Present a professional image of the HR service Process all transactional HR activity in line with internal policy and legislative requirements Support with recruitment and selection Provide guidance on HR systems Manage employee data, ensuring it is up to date and compliant Support the HR team with any projects Other duties when required REQUIREMENTS: CIPD Level 3 qualified Experience within a HR function supporting in a generalist capacity Strong IT and communication skills Ambitious and driven Self-starter and can prioritise workload
