Renin Looking for Logistics Coordinator at Brampton, ON Full Time

LOCATION: BRAMPTON

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day transportation needs for the business. As a Logistics Coordinator, the primary focus is customer satisfaction while understanding the importance of cost management. This individual is well versed in supply chain principles and is an expert in the ground and ocean freight markets.

QUALIFICATIONS:
College diploma or university degree preferably in supply chain or logistics/transportation management

1+ years’ work experience in supply chain, logistics or similar function

Experience working with North American ground and ocean freight carriers

Capability to balance a dynamic workload, set priorities daily and maintain flexibility

ERP experience an asset (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)

Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tool an asset

High proficiency with Excel required

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Enthusiastic, positive person who embraces and facilitates change with a sense of urgency and persistence.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate logistics of the warehouse, transportation and customer service

Manage bookings with ground and ocean carriers

Ensure accurate record keeping for reporting purposes

Develop ways for cost savings

Work closely with all freight carriers

Be the first point of contact for Customer Service for order tracking, damage claims, carrier issues

Delivering solutions to any logistics problems while maintaining a high quality of service

Manage any freight related claims with carriers
