Primary accountability involves spearheading the advancement of new products and business initiatives at BMW Group Financial Services Canada. This encompasses the exploration and creation of innovative products and services within the realm of automotive finance (Retail and Commercial Finance) and protection products. Additionally, the role entails forging novel channels and customer interfaces to boost both volume and profitability. Additionally, involved in supporting the Digital Strategy and developing products and services aligned with BMW Group’s Electric Strategy.

Key accountabilities include:

• Strategic Product Development: Spearhead the strategic planning, research, and development of new products and services in the area of automotive finance and protection products for BMW Group Financial Services.
• Business Expansion: Drive the expansion of business operations by identifying and developing new channels and customer interfaces, aiming to enhance both volume and profitability.
• Digital Strategy Support: Provide crucial support for the Digital Strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall objectives and leveraging digital platforms for optimal business outcomes.
• Electric Strategy Integration: Develop and implement products and services that align with BMW Group’s Electric Strategy, contributing to the organization’s commitment to sustainable and electric mobility solutions.
• Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth within the automotive financial services landscape.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new products, services, and strategies across various business units.
• Risk Management: Assess and manage potential risks associated with new product and business development, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the success and impact of new products and business initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards in the development and deployment of financial products and services.
• Responsible for managing and conducting annual reviews of product handbooks and guides and also development and maintenance of product and program training modules for BMW University.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies, to enhance collaboration and support business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business
• 5 years of relevant, professional leadership experience specifically in the area of Sales strategy and business/product development.
• Highly customer-oriented – both for internal and external.
• Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
• Self-motivated, results driven and strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Well-developed communication, collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Working knowledge of Tableau
• Advanced Project Management skills
