Position Overview:
This position supports the order creation and planning, and any of the required functions in the Distribution area to ensure that all daily requirements are met. These areas include but are not limited to: Inventory Control, Order Allocation, Reporting, Promotion Assembly, Returns, Shipping and Receiving.
Major Duties:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inventory Control
Assist with inventory audits / Cycle count.
Resolve daily inventory discrepancies.
Ensure replenishments are completed.
Inventory data entry
Order Allocation
Review orders dropped to Distribution for planning of workload.
Review and plan the next day’s priorities and create shipments by reviewing priority listings and understanding regular business order cycle times.
Allocate stock to orders in priority of importance and generate transfer orders on a timely basis to ensure timely picks to meet customers must arrive by dates.
Liaise with Traffic Routing Dept to arrange shipments for orders destined to same or different location regions.
Print labels and separate according to process area.
Follow up with Customer Logistics Dept on issues regarding order status.
Review priority listings as provided by Customer Logistics.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years of work related experience in inventory management and warehouse systems knowledge.
Experience working in a high volume environment.
