RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager in Nonferrous Metals to handle the market within Canada. The Sales Manager oversees the marketing and sales activities within the assigned accounts to meet or exceed company goals and strategic vision. This role will maintain and expand our market reach in the specialty area of refractory products, installation services, and maintenance programs. Management of the area includes direct and indirect sales through the local sales and service team and providing basic product and system knowledge support to the customer needs.
The National Sales Manager for Nonferrous Metals tasks will include:
Respond to existing clients needs and opportunities to further our partnership to maximizing sales and market share.
Developing multi-point of contacts in all accounts.
Pursuing opportunities to generate additional revenue for material and services provided.
Interacting and securing strong relationships between supplier and end-user.
Understanding, monitoring and taking actions related to the political, economic, competitive and production landscape of the customers.
Achieving the determined customer budget; sales volume, turnover, inventory and margin.
Maintaining customer contacts, call reports, opportunities, market share, competitor’s movement updates in the system.
Providing a monthly report detailing customer production details, competitor movements, new projects, and any additional relevant information.
Providing strategic product, performance, production, application and services updates.
Providing constant update of forecast of material and service needs (Rolling Forecast)
Providing accurate forecast and minimize inventory to serve the market.
Monitoring all demand cycles (supplier selection, negotiations, purchasing, shipments, outage schedules, installation, performance).
Pursuing optimized payment terms and conditions, on time payments.
Coordinating daily activities and schedules for subordinates, when applicable.
Completing individual and subordinate performance reviews, when applicable.
Partnering with the Technical Marketing team to create, propose and carry out trials with new material in close cooperation with the customer and optimize the application concepts.
Supporting customer refractory installation.
Traveling: requirement includes, but not limited to, designated territory. Participation in trade shows, public events, or other social venues as a brand representative of RHI Magnesita.
About you
Do you have:
BS Engineering or Business Degree or 5 years of Commercial Sales experience
Min 2 years of Industrial experience preferably refractories or pyrometallurgy.
Willingness to travel in Canada which could be as much as 50% of work time. International travel may be needed.
Self-driven, hands on, forward thinking and improvement/results oriented.
Works effectively and collaboratively, including clear written and verbal communications.
Fluent in English both written and verbally. Desirable French.
High proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
