Job Description
RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
The job will involve assisting in the scheduling and testing of research participants and analysis in experiment projects run in the research lab of Dr. Alexander Baldwin part of the Research Institute of the MUHC and located at the Montreal General Hospital.
General Duties
- Contact potential study participants by email and by telephone to schedule visits to the lab,
- Assist in testing study participants,
- Once qualified, test participants independently,
- Perform necessary training to be permitted to test participants independently,
- Keep secure any confidential information handled as part of work duties.
Attendance will also be expected at weekly meetings of the lab team.

Education / Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Field of Study: Psychology or another science subject.
Work Experience
Previous experience in research laboratories.
Required Skills
- Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Attention to detail and accuracy,
- Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.
Additional Information
Status: Temporary, occasional
Pay Scale: $18,75 to $28,12/hour Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: occasional
Work Site: Montreal General Hospital
