Job Description
RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
This position offers the unique opportunity to work on research programs related to lung cancer screening, COPD and cardiac disease at the MUHC.
General Duties
- Day to day coordination of the research project, contributing to ethics review board submissions, amendments, and reporting,
- Maintain and develop data entry tools using REDCAP for ongoing studies, manage redcap database,
- Coordinating regular team meetings, contributing to writing and updating protocols and procedures,
- Undertaking literature reviews, maintaining reference databases, and assisting with preparation and submission of reports, grants, abstracts, manuscripts, presentations,
- General research support (CVs, grant applications etc.).

Education / Experience
Education: Master’s Degree
Field of Study: Epidemiology, Computer Science, Health Care related field
Required Skills
- Proficiency in both English and French, with excellent verbal, and writing skills are required in both languages, particularly in French,
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, attention to detail, capacity to meet deadlines and troubleshoot, are required,
- Experience in working with Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required,
- Experience working with REDCAP and SAS or R is required,
- Experience in natural language processing, and software implementation is an asset,
- Experience in clinical research is an asset.
Additional information
Status: Temporary, full time – 35 hours (possibility of working 28 hours per week)
Pay Scale: $65,000 to $75,000 Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday
Work Site: 5252 de Maisonneuve
