Richcraft Looking for Human Resources Coordinator at Ottawa, ON Full Time

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide support to Richcraft in the areas of recruitment, health and safety, training and development, corporate policies and procedures, and any other areas as required.

Responsibilities:

• Support all day-to-day HR operations and administrative requirements for the organization
• Organize and administer human resources, personnel, training files and databases.
• While not responsible for payroll, work closely with the Finance team on any pay adjustments, leaves, and benefits.
• Develop internal communications to employees to support employee engagement and company communications.
• Manage recruiting including employer branding, assistance with the development of job descriptions, job postings and interviews.
• Prepare job offers and new hire packages
• Develop and manage on-boarding processes to ensure the effective integration of new employees.
• Identify training needs and gaps in close cooperation with managers; ensure all legal and statutory training requirements are met; you may be required to plan and organize in-house training on a range of subject matters.
• Assist and support in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures, in accordance with all relevant legislation.
• Develop and maintain human resource metrics to assess and measure the effectiveness of human resources programs and service delivery.
• Other duties as required

Health & Safety:

• Support organizational efforts in regards to COVID 19 including maintaining daily wellness checks
• In conjunction with the Health and Safety Officer, maintain and develop the workplace health & safety program
• Maintain the occupational health and safety software system – eCompliance
• Facilitate the completion of workplace inspections, maintain records of inspections, incidents findings
• Active participation on all Joint Health and Safety Committees in the organization
• Continue to suggest and implement best practices to improve the safety roles
• Maintain an inventory on safety supplies
• Support managers and employees with workplace injury/illness claims and return to work initiatives, including managing and submitting all required documentation and taking ownership of the claims from start to finish.

Requirements:

• Three to Five years’ experience in Human Resources
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to take direction and work independently when required
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate quickly and concisely in a verbal and written format
• Computer proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and compare data
• Post-secondary education from an accredited institution in Human Resources or Occupational Health and Safety is an asset
• Safety certification training is considered an asset
• Construction experience is considered an asset
• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now will be considered an asset.
