RIMOWA has an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the finance CREW at our Cambridge facility. Reporting directly to the Controller – North America, this hands-on position is responsible for day-to-day operations of accounts receivable, payroll, banks and general ledger
Our ideal candidate is a hands/on flexible individual with solid accounting experience, excellent communication skills, attention to strict deadlines, accuracy, organization, a cordial professional attitude and, most of all, passion for learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in month end financial statement preparation and related analytics
- Perform other month-end tasks as assigned
- Accounts Receivable
- Apply customer payments on timely basis with accuracy
- Prepare and review AR aging for follow up actions for 2 different entities
- Accurate and timely intercompany invoicing
- Supplier & Customer master information maintenance
- Ensure accuracy of financial files and documentation in compliance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Prepare, maintain, and provide recommendations for improvements to accounting processes
- Interpret, communicate, and assist Finance in ensuring compliance with all policies and directives. Actively involved in meeting departmental goals
- Monthly HST/GST tax filings
- Assist with annual external audits
- Accounts Payable (as a back-up)
- Perform other related duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3 – 5 years experience in previous Accounting roles
- Extensive experience in accounting with a strong focus on Accounts Receivables
- Experience in woking withmajor retailers
- Intermediate to high level knowledge of Excel and of all other Microsoft Office programs
- Self-motivated, Strong work ethics and positive attitude is a must
- Ability to maintain accuracy in a deadline driven, fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Self-starter and ability to prioritize tasks and keep many projects moving forward at once
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Self-motivation, Strong work ethics and passion for continuous learning.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
