Riverside South Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time or a part-time associate to join our team in the nation’s capital. Our hospital provides small animal and exotic veterinary care services in the highly sought after Riverside South area of Ottawa.
With a vibrant music scene, excellent schools and an affordable housing market, Ottawa is a fantastic culturally diverse place to live, raise a family and even plan a retirement. In the summer there’s easy access to camping, cottage country, and the Gatineau Hills. In the winter there is skiing, snowboarding and, of course, the Rideau Canal with skating and Winterlude. You can also visit the National Arts Centre, National Gallery, Bluesfest, several museums and easily travel out of the award-winning International Airport (YOW).
Riverside South has the perfect combination of the highest levels of pet ownership and disposable income in the city which gives us the opportunity to practice gold standard medicine with enthusiastic clients who view their pets as members of the family. The neighbourhood is in constant development resulting in new families purchasing homes in search of plenty of space for their dogs and kids. The hospital gets several new client requests daily. Our hospital was purpose built by Gerard Natanek at Artistree Construction Inc. in 2007. The design was specifically with workflow in mind.
Employees can expect an openly supportive, relaxed and positive work environment focused on teamwork and employee satisfaction. We are a locally owned and operated small animal practice and have been serving our community for 15 years. The original owners who designed and built the practice are still working here today. You can expect the full support of our highly experienced team which consists of 2 full-time practicing partners, 3 RVT’s and 8 support staff. Drs. Fitch and Dennett are on-site daily to provide mentorship and assist with navigating cases. We have a strong team-oriented approach to patient care. We fully utilize our RVT’s to allow you time for case management. The technicians handle all of the sample collection, dental and full body x-rays, lab work, dental prophylaxis, surgical set-up, monitoring and recovery, and more. The support staff are skilled at taking medical histories, safe restraint, ensuring client satisfaction, and booking a balanced appointment schedule. We also have an on-site practice manager/head RVT to assist the staff and allow you to focus on practicing medicine.
The partners each have over 25 years of experience practicing small animal medicine including 12 years in emergency and critical care departments. The opportunity for mentorship is excellent. New grads welcome!
