A reputable business is searching for an Accountant to assist in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Payroll. The Accountant position is a permanent role in the Edmonton, Alberta, area. The company boasts terrific benefits, a wonderful work space/office, and a dynamic team culture.
Major responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and issue all invoicing throughout the month; including preparing of billing reports for project engineering team for review
- Prepare and enter all Accounts Payables
- Prepare and enter all Bank Deposits – per procedure
- Providing Credit reference checks for existing clients.
- Schedule Letter release based on client account status
- A/R – collection calls; phone clients regarding outstanding invoices and do all necessary follow up to ensure monies are collected in a timely manner.
- Review and process all submitted expenses by Staff as per policy and procedure (Including scanning all project related expenses for billing purposes)
- Open up all projects (this should include following up project managers with signed contracts, sending and receiving)
- Prepare weekly electrical meeting reports
- Provide all travel arrangement for all staff members
- Maintain and update accounting tasks procedure on “One Note”.
- Back up for Front Desk during absences or when necessary; including preparing of opportunities, RFP’s, schedule letters, all front desk duties should be trained on.
- New Employee roll-out
- Maintaining employee professional membership
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting experience required
- Full Cycle Payroll experience
- Bookkeeping experience
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
- Experience with high volume data entry
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
