Description This client of Robert Half is seeking an Accounting professional to focus on bookkeeping and other general accounting-related tasks. To thrive in this role, you will provide support to the financial team and various executives in different areas of administration, including accounting/finance, inventory management and projects. The primary duties include playing an integral role in creating, maintaining and completing various reports, financial data and supporting in the completion of various audits.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Full cycle accounting in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Use accounting software to manage reports and track financial data.
- Manage a systematic filing system.
- Prepare documents for company Accountant or for executives.
- Compile data for income tax returns.
- Verify or reconcile bank transactions.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns.
- Plan, coordinate, and successfully execute a variety of business requests.
- Assist with any ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Work with internal and external customers for admin requests.
Requirements
- Have strong Microsoft Excel skills. (Use of VLookups/Pivot Tables are a definite asset)
- Comfortable operating a computer and application programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent numeric skills
- Desire and ability to learn new tasks
- Able to work productively with minimum supervision
- Able to work with and co-operate with other personnel
- Professional demeanor and customer care oriented
- Good work record and strong work ethic
- Have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English.
