We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of equipment and systems critical to energy production and distribution. The Facilities Maintenance Manager will lead a team of maintenance professionals, develop and implement maintenance strategies, and collaborate with various departments to optimize facility performance.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Strategy Development:
– Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and longevity of energy production and distribution facilities.
– Conduct regular assessments of equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.
Team Leadership:
– Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and support staff.
– Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance standards and adherence to safety protocols.
Equipment Management:
– Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of energy production equipment, including turbines, generators, transformers, and control systems.
– Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of spare parts and necessary supplies.
Safety Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
– Develop and enforce safety procedures and protocols for maintenance activities.
Budget Management:
– Develop and manage the maintenance budget, optimizing resources for cost-effective operations.
– Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on budget performance.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
– Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
– Evaluate and select contractors, negotiate contracts, and oversee the quality of work.
Continuous Improvement:
– Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in maintenance operations.
– Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and unplanned outages.
Reporting and Documentation:
– Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
– Prepare regular reports on facility performance, maintenance metrics, and key performance indicators.
Qualifications:
– Extensive knowledge of maintenance and mechanical systems including HVAC, Elevators, life safety systems, etc.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role managing 5+ reports.
– Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Working knowledge of computers, control systems,clean rooms, medical environment, infection control procedures.
– Team player with excellent leadership skills, committed to working in a quality environment
– Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in order to lead by example.
– Previous experience working with a CMMS.
– Working knowledge of computers and MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
