The Financial Accountant furthers the company’s goals through the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow, as well as the creation of budgets and forecasts, preparation of audits, and management of internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
– Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
– Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
– Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
– Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
– Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
– Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
– Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
– Engage in various department-wide initiatives
– Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
– Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
– Experience with ERP systems
– 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
– Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
– Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
– High attention to detail
– Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
– Comprehensive knowledge of Prepare Financial Statements
– Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
– Able to manage time well
– Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
– Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
– Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
