Overview:
As the Global Payroll Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the company’s payroll operations on a global scale. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with international payroll regulations, and the implementation of best practices across all regions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of global payroll processes, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
What you will be responsible for:
– Lead and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all international locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
– Develop and implement standardized global payroll policies and procedures.
– Collaborate with in-country payroll providers and internal stakeholders to streamline processes and resolve issues.
– Stay on top of international payroll regulations and ensure the company’s payroll practices comply with local laws and tax requirements in each jurisdiction.
– Mitigate payroll-related risks by implementing effective controls and audits.
– Evaluate, implement, and optimize global payroll systems and technology to enhance
– Collaborate with the IT department to integrate payroll systems with other HR and finance systems.
– Work closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure seamless collaboration and information flow.
– Collaborate with internal and external auditors during payroll audits.
– Lead and mentor a global payroll team, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
– Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring professional development and continuous improvement.
Your key qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
– PLP designation.
– Proven experience in global payroll management, preferably in a multinational company. Experience with Canadian and US payroll a must, with at least one other global jurisdiction.
– In-depth knowledge of international payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
– Proficient in payroll software and technology.
