Our high-profile client is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to support them with a number of key initiatives. This contract engagement is expected to run for 12 months.
Reporting directly to the Controller you will:
– Manage all aspect of full-cycle accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, journal entries to General Ledger, month-end and year-end financial statements, and monthly management reporting and analytics
– Prepare Management reports for 5 business segments
– Guide the Business Segment managers in understanding the financial results and variances at a very granular level
– Implement new operational and business processes and procedures to improve the delivery of the organization’s programs
– Coach, mentor, and oversee the work of 6 staff
– Oversee the preparation of journal entries, accruals, eliminations and consolidations of complex structures, and complex reconciliations,
– Ensure the completion of monthly working papers.
To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated Finance Manager (CPA or equivalent), with 10+ years of financial reporting work experience in large complex environments. You are comfortable managing a team, working with multiple stakeholders.
In addition to the above, the following skills are also desired:
– Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Being able to clearly articulate financial information to non-finance audiences.
– Detail-oriented personality to handle both transactional accounting and finance work, as well as strategic planning and risk management activities
– Ability to management multiple priorities on-hand
