A client is looking to staff a Payroll Administrator through Robert Half. In this Payroll Administrator role, you will manage the production of accurate and timely payroll for employees. Your responsibilities
– Execute regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger
– Work in partnership Information Technology, Human Resources, and other internal business partners to ensure security protocols for pay systems
– Obey to current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting
– Prepare systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data
– Regulate quarterly and year-end payroll reports
– Arrange timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles
-Process transactions such as new employees, terminations, employee changes
-Verify and fix any errors that may be found after proofing
-Create journal entries and posts entries in the general ledger
-Prepare and process month-end and year-end activities such as wage accruals and tax forms
-Maintain all employee payroll/files and ensure proper filing accordingly
– Canadian Payroll multi-province experience required
– Payworks experience required
– Union payroll experience required
– Full Cycle Payroll experience
– Accomplished in processing liens, various withholdings, and garnishments
– PCP or CPP most optimal
– 2+ years of payroll experience
– Imperative to have skills in an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
