Our client in West Vancouver is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst.
As part of the Corporate FP& A team, you will be:
• Responsible for supporting the annual budget process, consolidation, reporting, and long-range planning.
• Lead the development and maintenance of financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and supporting strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, identifying trends and variances.
• Perform analysis of financial and non-financial data and compare actuals to budget and forecast to provide insights that can be implemented to improve financial performance.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and work closely with the FP& A Manager, to provide monthly insight to the Chief Financial Officer and other senior leadership.
• Support the construction of business cases, perform ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare presentations that communicate findings to the executive leadership.
• Drive the evolution of processes and policies as part of the effort to continually improve the finance function.
• Conduct detailed cash flow analysis to ensure liquidity and optimize cash management.
To succeed in this role:
• Certified accountant qualification (CPA or equivalent) or MBA designation required.
• Experience in FP& A including undertaking analysis of information; drawing conclusions and financial reporting.
• Comfortable with ambiguity – being able to provide clarity and guide decision making.
• Strong results orientation and bias for action with the ability to discern the steps needed to be successful.
