* Work as part of a team to manage the property accounting for $500 million in assets under management
* Complete full-cycle accounting and month-end close as well as financial statement analysis and variance commentary for residential rental properties, commercial and development properties,
* Process monthly and year-end journal entries, adjustments and accruals, as well as bank reconciliations
* Maintain Balance Sheet working papers and reconciliations
* Maintain and monitor cash balances for portfolio of properties,
* Prepare financial budgeting for assigned properties,
* Assist in annual audit and Real Estate Council of BC trust audit requirements,
* Prepare working papers and support for annual T2 and T5013 tax filings,
* Prepare and process property management fees and related fees from property management agreements
The ideal candidate is a designated accountant with 5+ years of experience including 1+ year of property management experience. You also have the following key criteria for the job:
* Full cycle accounting, account reconciliation, month-end/year-end close and CAM’s experience
* Cash flow management, budgeting and ASPE experience
* Highly organized, attentive to detail, self-starting problem solver,
* Ability to work with constantly changing priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously,
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written,
* Self-motivated, energetic, and keenly interested in all aspects of property development accounting,
* Experience in MS Dynamics 365 or equivalent property management/development accounting software
* Advanced Excel skills
