Our client is in search of an experienced professional responsible for overseeing activities related to the management and control of product inventory. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the successful execution of all supply and inventory planning operations. Responsibilities include maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data within the supply chain management system, validating inventory variances between Phoenix and Oracle Cloud, particularly at the end of each month for reporting purposes. The role also involves acting as the point of contact for customs clearances, coordinating final lag inbound logistics, and addressing inquiries related to the 3PL warehouse. Additionally, this position serves as a representative in the field of Supply Chain and is the point of contact for New Product Introductions (NPI).
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
– Assist in the inventory reconciliation process, reconciling variances for month-end reporting as part of the transition to ERP Month End Reporting.
– Daily reconciliation of inventory between the 3PL and ERP systems.
– Responsible for maintaining master data, including creating and cleaning 3PL and ERP item setups.
– Authorize sample movement requests and ensure sufficient stock is available to fulfill order requests.
– Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements (purchase orders, adjustments, cycle counts) for audit purposes.
Logistics:
– Coordinate transportation arrangements with carriers and freight forwarders for inbound shipments.
– Provide support to the warehouse for any missing inbound shipping documentation or Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs).
– Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards for special requests.
– Address inquiries related to customs clearances for inbound purchases.
– Coordinate with the warehouse to prioritize shipments for upcoming inbound rush receipts.
– Offer insights on logistics-related matters during cross-functional meetings.
Special Projects:
– Collaborate with Brand Managers and Global teams on new product development, offering input to support on-time product launches.
– Responsible for global data setup in Informatica, including New Product Launches, product status change requests, and Kit Requests.
Requirements:
– Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
– Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
– High-level proficiency in Excel, with Power Query skills being a plus.
– Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures is an advantage.
– Familiarity with data management principles and data quality best practices.
– Understanding of data privacy and compliance standards.
– Ability to lead change initiatives and drive process improvements.
– Capability to work independently, under pressure, and meet demanding deadlines.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
– This is a hybrid role, with 3 days a week in the office located in Markham, Ontario.
– The employee may or may not be frequently or occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
– May need to climb stairs or use elevators.
– Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
– Use of close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
– Manipulation of a keyboard or other computer, telephone, and handheld devices.
– Exposure to outside weather conditions when entering and exiting office buildings.
– Exposure to moderate noise levels, typically in warehouse settings.
– Exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, and high places, or transitioning between air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned environments.
– Minimal travel requirements.
