Our client, a leader in the engineering and land development business for over 25 years is looking for Junior Designer/Assistant Engineer to join there team in office at their Woodbridge location! Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the design and development of infrastructure projects
- Working with senior engineers to analyze project requirements, create design plans, and develop construction drawings for residential, industrial, and commercial development projects.
- Evaluating the technical, economic, and environmental feasibility of proposed projects by conducting, analyzing data, and performing calculations.
- Supporting the project manager in coordinating construction activities, including preparing project schedules, monitoring progress, tracking budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Keeping accurate records of design calculations, construction specifications, and project correspondence.
- Keeping up to date with the latest industry standards, codes, and regulations, as well as new technologies and techniques in civil engineering.
- Actively participating in professional development activities, such as attending seminars and workshops, and obtaining relevant certifications or licenses can further enhance career growth in this field.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills And Experience
- Civil Engineering Degree or or College diploma
- Background education in the design of civil infrastructure services for residential, industrial and commercial developments
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Skilled with Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
