The position reports into the Team Lead, IT Infrastructure. The role is primarily responsible for the operation, support, and maintenance of the corporate server infrastructure. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, documenting, and optimizing all server / storage / cloud device hardware and software across all sites connected to Rocky Mountaineer, including infrastructure onboard trains. In addition, this role will also be responsible for managing and performing system administration tasks to ensure system integrity and conducting proactive performance tuning, security measures, capacity monitoring, and troubleshooting. Plan and perform installation of patches and upgrades as well as development of preventative maintenance plans.
Participate in: network installation, configuration, upgrades including planning, conversions, customizations, interfaces, training, testing, and evaluation of new infrastructure and system components and technologies.
