Procurement Construction Manager

The Procurement Construction Manager is a key team member within our Ottawa operations. They will be responsible for securing, growing, and maintaining the front-end of Rohit Homes’ supply chain in Ottawa. They will also be responsible for effectively managing our regional cost base. Reporting to the Vice President, Rohit Homes, Ottawa, the successful candidate will lead the Business Development and Contract Negotiation processes for Rohit Homes’ procurement team, as well as oversee all administrative functions with vendor partners. This role will be at the forefront of our growth in the region.

• A degree or diploma in Architecture, Planning, or Civil Engineering is considered an asset but is not required.
• Previous experience in leading a team is considered an asset but is not required.

What will you do?

• Grow Rohit Homes’ vendor base in Ottawa.
• Negotiate supplier agreements.
• Build, manage, and lead the Procurement group for Rohit Homes’ Ottawa division.
• Support the centralized Procurement Team in:
• The creation and maintenance of baseline and project budgets for the region.
• The creation and review of cost analysis reports for new vendor selections.
• Review construction drawings and provide feedback on potential value engineering opportunities.
• Identify new building materials and practices that can save the organization both development time and material costs.
• Along with Construction and Project Management team members, ensure vendors continuously conform to Rohit Homes’ safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee and, when required, execute administrative functions and tasks for Procurement in the region.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
