Job Title

This role will oversee the performance of multiple Project Managers as they lead the design, procurement, and construction of new apartment buildings in the Ontario region.

What will you do?

• Oversees training, performance and daily workflow of team.
• Lead and support the planning, permitting, and execution of new development projects within the region.
• Formulate comprehensive project plans encompassing timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to articulate project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members while providing motivation and guidance to ensure the achievement of project goals.
• Utilize existing technological and paper assets to effectively manage and report on all projects within the region.
• Monitor the progression of all projects within the designated region, ensuring alignment with portfolio targets in terms of design requirements, timelines, budgets, and intended yield or product outcomes.
• Effectively design and implement a risk management process for all projects within the region.
• Monitor the financial performance of in-development projects and report findings to Senior & Executive Leadership on a regular basis.
• Uphold compliance with contractual obligations and manage relationships with both external and internal partners and stakeholders.
• Oversee and ensure adherence to local zoning regulations, building codes, and the acquisition of permits and approvals for development projects, addressing any regulatory issues that may arise.
• Work alongside construction team, supervise the progress and quality of on-site execution, ensuring adherence to schedules and vendor compliance with agreed upon scope requirements.
• Work alongside the Procurement Manager, participate in the vendor selection process for various projects in the region.
• Supervise project closeout activities.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
• Support acquisition lead in conducting effective due diligence on future acquisition opportunities.
• Maintain transparent and effective communication with external and internal stakeholders.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
