Ronco Looking for Accountant at Concord, ON Full Time

The Accountant supports the finance teams with general accounting duties. Focusing on both the P&L and Balance Sheet, provides detailed financial analyses of current month results and explanations for variances versus budget and prior year. Support the department and business with other ad hoc activities as required.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in the preparation of monthly P&L and Balance

• Prepares and analyzes financial information to support month-end journal entries; prepares various account reconciliation.

• Prepares analysis of month-end results and provide detailed explanation of variances

• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual GST/HST filings

• Maintains and reconciles fixed asset subledger

• Daily Sales Margin analysis

• Maintains and reconciles rebates and deductions

• Verify invoice price match PO and resolve differences

• Enter A/P invoices, verify and post to A/P module

• Process cash disbursements of cheques, wire transfer, and EFT

• Address all vendor matching issues and payment issues

• Participates in annual budgeting

• Preparation of year-end schedules for tax filing purposes

• Enter customer invoices in EDI portal

• Prepares detailed ad hoc analysis as required to achieve management information requirements

• Other duties may be assigned

IDEAL SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Accounting College Diploma / Accounting university degree.

• In pursuit of an Accounting Designation is an asset

• 5 years working experience in similar position

• Advanced MS Excel skills required.

• Ability to manage technical complexity

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Working knowledge of Dynamic 365BC and QuickBooks are an asset

• Ability to analyze vast amount of detailed date and compile into meaningful information

• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS)

• Ability to analyze and resolve problems, and or work in a group to address issues

• Ability to prioritize workload for processing efficiency

• Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills are required

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a very fast paced environment
