Secondary Teachers
*Full-time, Part-time, and Casual positions available. Although we are primarily looking for a September 2022 start, the option for starting sooner is available including during our summer programs.

The successful candidate will seek to accomplish the school’s philosophy of student centred, differentiated approaches to instruction and learning, and provide lessons that meet students’ requirements, interests and capabilities. Your ability to be flexible and creative will be essential in facilitating learning opportunities and achieving the learning outcomes of the Nova Scotia public school curriculum in an ever-changing environment. You will take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities, and keep accurate records in compliance with relevant laws, policies and regulations. You will collaborate, when required, with administration and the head teacher to create and implement rules and policies regulating student conduct.
To ensure success, you will have the ability to form interpersonal relationships, and collaborate, with all of your students, as well as with your colleagues, and take an interest in their general well-being. Top candidates are caring, perceptive, empathetic, compassionate and masters of fostering a culturally responsive environment. Thinking outside of the box is an essential skill!

Experience working with children with exceptionalities considered an asset.
The desire to be a part of the change in how equitable access to education and inclusion are defined in Nova Scotia.
The candidate will work with small class sizes and varying grade levels.
Due to the nature of our programs it is necessary that the successful candidate work well within a team and enjoy being silly and having fun with the children!
We are looking for Teachers who are subs, those wanting only part-time hours (two shifts per week), as well as full-time. Both part-time and full-time offer medical, dental and RRSP benefits.
