What is the opportunity?
We are looking for Product Designers to join our Strategic Design (SD) team. A Product Designer will co-lead the design of either Venture: Ownr, GarbageDay, Prepped. This designer will support the development of Product Design and Marketing assets for the team across various web and mobile experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of pushing design, creativity, and technical innovation.
What will you do?
Shape the look and feel of the Venture’s digital products and marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency and simplicity, and alignment with the brand
Collaborate with our product and marketing team to create a more cohesive experience and enhance conversion and usability with a test-and-learn approach, tackling large- and small-scale tasks simultaneously
Produce, deliver and validate high-quality end-to-end product(s) and campaigns, with a focus on ideating short-term design strategies and features with your product team
Drive a high-performing product design skillset and the ability to leverage design thinking practices to build UI/ UX flows that balance strategic business goals with the needs of users
Understand the capabilities, strengths and limitations of a technology stack to best align design and development to optimize efficiency, performance and user value
Rationalize solutions and effectively communicate ideas and designs
Lead usability-testing alongside other Product Design and UX Researchers
Help build and maintain the team’s design system and libraries
Ensure adherence to accessibility guidelines while keeping inclusivity top-of-mind
Deliver high-quality marketing assets for multiple digital and physical channels and work alongside the creative team to elevate the presence and value proposition of the product for both the B2B and B2C audience
What do you need to succeed?
Must-haves:
2 – 3 years of experience working in digital on design teams
An exceptional eye for detail and passion for quality
Experience designing Native Apps and Responsive Web platforms
Experience designing marketing assets from concept to exporting print-ready files
Experience with a wide range of design and Prototyping Tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Principle, ProtoPie)
Desire to work through the entire UCD process using methods like Sketching, Storyboarding, Diagramming, Wireframing, Prototyping, and Usability Testing screen-based products
Deep knowledge in 2-3 key areas: UX/Interaction Design, UI/Visual Design, Understanding Human Behavior, Business and Product Strategy, Design Thinking, UX Copywriting, Accessibility and Inclusive Design, Strategic Thinking, Systems Thinking, UX Research, Analytics, Usability Testing, Prototyping, Storytelling, Information Design, Information Architecture, Design Systems, Growth Design
BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, Product, Industrial Design) or a related field or equivalent experience
Portfolio / Case Studies with recent work samples
Nice-to-haves:
Has built and launched at least one large feature that has gone from discovery through launch and optimization
Experience with analytic platforms
Knowledge and/or experience in the Agile process
