Duties
Regional Asset Manager, Regional Manager, Real Property and Regional Manager, Strategic Planning & Project Management must ensure the National, Regional and Divisional priorities, associated with an equitable and harassment free workplace are realized and fostered to further develop the RCMP as a preferred employer. In support of RCMP Operations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, including Depot (the national cadet training facility), the RCMP’s Corporate Management Branch (CMB) is accountable for the corporate functions of: Procurement and Contracting, Materiel Management, Real Property, Fleet Management, Finance, Business Systems, and Organizational Business Integration. To successfully perform these functions, CMB employees are required to actively engage with a diverse range of external and internal clients to understand and be responsive to their needs and take ownership of their roles and responsibilities. The work environment is demanding, often changing and unpredictable, therefore, CMB employees are required to be professional, flexible, innovative, progressive and positive agents of change in order to achieve superior RCMP results and value for Canadians.
Intent of the process
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Degree equivalency
*Significant and **Recent experience in successfully planning, managing, overseeing and reporting on the delivery of capital projects.
*Significant and **Recent experience in providing strategic advice to management on ***Complex issues.
**Recent experience in Human Resources Management including employee supervision, work planning and performance management. Candidates must specify the number of employees supervised including their job functions.
*Significant and **Recent experience in developing and maintaining active working relationships with internal or external stakeholders (e.g. clients, industry, other government departments, provincial governments).
**Recent experience in financial management including responsibility for and management of a budget (unit or project). This experience encompasses responsibility for financial planning, forecasting and accountability. Candidates must specify the size and type of budget managed.
- Significant experience refers to an in-depth and breadth of experience normally acquired through performing a broad range of activities over a period of approximately two (2) years worked.
**Recent experience is defined as within the last five (5) years.
***Complex is defined as involving more than one program or department or involving multiple stakeholders or involving politically sensitive issues.

Experience in formulating and implementation of plans or strategies in support of business delivery, transformation, and/or process improvement.
Experience managing multiple trades and sub-trades.

Willing and able to travel, travel via small aircraft, vessels, ATVs or snowmobiles
Willing and able to work overtime
Possession of a valid Canadian Driver’s Licence (Class 5) or degree of mobility usually associated with possession of a valid driver’s licence

The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship or permanent resident status prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates; Permanent resident card.
Testing/interviews will be conducted at the location of the employer’s choice.

The successful applicant will have to obtain an RCMP security clearance. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, on-line activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc.
Preference
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
