Job Description:
Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) has partnered with IOOF Seniors Home to move select Alternate Level of Care (ALC) patients, who no longer require the level of acute care provided in a hospital setting, to the newly-opened IOOF Short Term Transitional Care Unit.
The Patient Services Clerk is responsible for reception, communication and clerical duties of the unit in accordance with the organizational philosophy, policies and standards of the RVH.
As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:
- Medical Office Administration Certificate/Diploma or Equivalent Program essential
- Office administration experience in a hospital environment or equivalent
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office – essential
- Keyboarding skills – 50wpm – essential
- Current experience with Meditech, including registration, EMR, order entry and appointment scheduling an asset
- Current experience in the processing of physicians orders an asset
