Royal York Property Management Looking for Leasing Agent at Niagara, Ontario, Canada Full Time

As a Leasing Agent, you’ll be at the forefront of our operations, conducting in-person property showings and assisting with the leasing process. Balancing the needs of property owners and tenants, you’ll strive to meet occupancy and rental targets. You’ll also contribute to a positive office atmosphere, and uphold the company’s image through your activities. Leasing Agents are an essential part of our dynamic team, primarily responsible for the rental of our diverse portfolio of properties. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a deep understanding of the local rental market. This role requires you to be a proficient multitasker, organized, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are also essential as you’ll be required to travel to meet with our clients.

Responsibilities of the position:

• Conduct in-person tours of available properties to potential tenants
• Communicate effectively with prospective tenants, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
• Follow up on leads for potential tenants
• Collaborate with the property management team to address maintenance issues
• Assist in evaluating the market price for properties that need to be leased
• Meet and exceed rental targets and other key performance indicators
• Maintain a positive atmosphere in the office and represent the company professionally
• Manage and coordinate leasing of properties in coordination with different departments in the company
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of prior work experience in a related field or a high school diploma with 4 years of experience in a similar role
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
• Intermediate sales skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and outgoing personality
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient multitasking and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Willingness to learn
• Willingness to work extended hours
• A Real Estate License is a bonus
• An understanding of the real estate industry, including laws, policies, and best practices is good to have 

Compensation:

• Up to 30% of the leased price listed on the lease agreement.
• Travel expenses, including fuel compensation are covered by the company credit card.
• All necessary marketing materials such as presentation folders, real estate signs, business cards, lock-boxes etc., are supplied by the company.
• The annual compensation of a Senior Leasing Agent working 40 hours/week, ranges from $100,000 – $130,000.

At Royal York Property Management, we believe in investing in our teams. As such, we will provide:

• 7 days of extensive training that will cover the basics of renting out and leasing a property, company protocols, best practices for sales and other relevant topics. All training materials are provided by the company.
• A minimum of 30 new property owners will be assigned to you each month
• Most tenant lead generation is covered by us.
• You will have access to our extensive back office and administrative support:
• We will schedule and confirm most meetings and showings through our administrative staff.
• Our professional support staff will handle all phone calls 24/7 – 365.
• We will complete the entirety of the tenant screening process for Leasing Agents.
• We will collect all required funds from tenants.
• We will process rental applications and facilitate the leasing out of properties by collecting, and submitting all relevant documentation.
