Our Thornhill location is currently seeking an experienced Parts Shipper/ Receiver/ Dispatcher.
Parts Shipper/Receiver/Dispatcher
The Shipper & Receiver’s responsibility is to serve our clients (internal and external) in a safe, accurate and efficient manner.
This position requires organization, rapid reprioritization and attention to detail. The Shipper & Receiver is a critical link to ensure we receive & ship the products that are expected, on time and in good condition.
This is a dynamic position where working as a collaborative team is mandatory. Multi-tasking and constantly shifting priorities will be a constant challenge, but the expectation will be that the following functions are performed at a high level.

Duties include, but may not be limited to:
- Load & offload freight in a safe & efficient manner
- Confirm piece count once a shipment is loaded / offloaded to ensure accuracy
- When receiving product, offload & inspect items before signing any carrier paperwork.
- If discrepancy is found on inbound freight, indicate details on the carrier BOL & alert inventory team immediately
- If discrepancy is found on outbound freight, hold the truck & alert Logistics Coordinator or MGMT as needed.
- Obtain signed carrier documentation for all inbound and outbound transactions
Shipment Preparation:
- Prepare items for shipment preparation
- Accurately pick the correct items to match the shipment paperwork
- Ensure all items are packaged safely for damage free transportation
- Experience & ability to use a forklift
Dispatch:
- Dispatch 4-5 drivers daily.
- Coordinate daily route assignments.
- Be aware of the location of drivers/trucks at all times.
- Monitor and respond to driver messages/calls.
- Safely and efficiently perform assigned processes to meet the required daily logistics activities.
- Assist drivers with routing directions, delivery issues and communicating service requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid G Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
- Determined, responsible and mature
- Strong Customer Service Focus
