Russel Metals Looking for Operations Support Assistant at Cambridge, ON Full Time

Russel Metals is currently seeking a highly motivated and results oriented individual for the position of Operations Support Assistant in our Cambridge, ON location. This position is responsible for supporting and coordinating the timely operations within the administration, operations and shipping department.

This is a DAYTIME position working 40 hours a week. Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm, with a 1 hour lunch break.

Responsibilities:

• All duties related to everyday Administration processes/controls in line with Russel Metals policies and procedures including payroll processing and attendance management
• Help complete cycle counts to ensure the branch maintains inventory integrity. Assist with required stock checks and staging area reviews.
• Receiving – data input and physical confirmation/tagging of material
• Provide backup to various operational and administration functions which include by are not limited to production/scheduling, traffic planning/scheduling, shipping and training.

Job Requirements:

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are extremely important
• Strong analytical, time management & organizational skills
• Self-motivated team player
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)

Preferable:

• Post secondary education in the field of business administration, accounting or finance
• Certification Training in Health & Safety
