For our Construction line in Canada, we are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be part of the Planning Department within our Canadian Delegation.
The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will be:
Prepare and distribute payment reports and statistics to key personnel.
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Review and process weekly EFT and cheque runs
Post and reconcile company payments to general ledgers.
Prepare monthly summaries, analysis, reports and associated journal entries
Assist with preparation of required audit working papers for quarterly reviews and yearly audit
Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations,
Prepare financial reports as needed.
Perform monthly credit card and main bank account reconciliations.
Assist in preparing information for the accountant at year-end.
Assist with office management and administrative duties
Manage office supplies
Data entry using QuickBooks
Perform data entry and administrative duties
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconciling accounts
Assist with other administrative duties
Other duties as assigned.
The necessary requirements to assume these responsibilities are:
5 years of general accounting experience in a similar role
Proficiency with SAP
Proficiency in Excel and Word
Proficiency with Quickbooks
A good understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and IFRS
Achievement of an accounting designation or to be currently enrolled in the CPA or CA program
Ability to work independently, manage multiple activities with ease, and prioritize
Experience working with deadlines
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Administrative experience
Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting systems, including QuickBooks
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent organizational skills
Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team in direct functions or as required by the team and project to achieve objectives.
