Main Responsibilities:
Perform Seed Production and testing tasks for Tetanus and Diphtheria.
Conduct Primary and Secondary (P&S) seed expansion, purity testing, gram stain, and evaluation for large-scale fermentation.
Execute fermentation processes for Tetanus and Diphtheria seed cultures and batches.
Manage cleaning and preparation of fermenters and equipment for sterilization, ensuring readiness for fermentation.
Handle recovery, purification, and detoxification of toxins post-fermentation. Also, conduct sample testing and evaluation for purity and in-process tests, preparing QC release testing samples. Additionally, monitor utilities and facilities in Diphtheria and Tetanus areas. Lastly, contribute to the creation, revision, and updating of SOPs & BPRs.
About You:
Community College Diploma (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology) with at least two (2) years of prior relevant work experience, or equivalent.
Preferred University degree (Microbiology/Biology, Biochemistry, Protein Research) with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
Proficiency in Microbiological Understanding, including growth kinetics, and adeptness in Aseptic techniques.
Competence in Mechanical and processing techniques, Chemistry, Statistical and Analytical/Deductive reasoning, and Protein Purification.
Strong aptitude in Mathematics, Microbiology, and excellent skills in Coordinating, organization, as well as verbal and written communication.
