What your day to day will look like:
Leadership and Management; Providing leadership to all members of the HR and Owner Operator support teams to resolve performance and personnel problems and to discuss and implement company policies and procedures. Demonstrating HR leadership to the organization coaching the Executive team to ensure HR regulations and best practices and policies.
Policy and Program Management; develop, update, maintain, and regularly review HR programs and policies ensuring legislative compliance and stakeholder buy in.
Culture and Strategy; Design and execute the organizations HR goals. Review and report on employee engagement surveys, retention, exit interviews monitoring key metrics and creating recommendations as required.
Management Support; Work with and build effective relationships with all members of management as a trusted advisor.
Employee and Labour Relations; Provide support in investigating incidents and complaints, ensuring that documentation is completed and retained.
Recruitment Oversight; Provide oversight for all recruitment activities ensuring positive candidate experiences and budget efficiencies. Offer direct involvement in all senior leadership roles.
Payroll and Employee Data Oversight; Provide oversight and direction to the payroll function ensuring accuracy and compliance and presenting leadership with appropriate data for effective decision making.
Owner and Operator Compliance and Contract Management; Provide oversight to the administration of all Owner Operator Contracts working with the Owner Operator function to ensure full compliance with organizational requirements.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Must have minimum 8 years progressive Human Resources experience, including experience at a leadership level
Completion of a post secondary education in Human Resources Management with a valid CPHR designation
Previous experience with sub contractor management or contract management considered an asset
Previous experience developing and implementing HR processes and systems
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to form effective working relationships throughout all levels in the organization
Capacity to work with a sense of urgency using sound judgement in making complex decisions and handling confidential information
Proficient in MS Office products
