An optometry office is seeking a dedicated and friendly Receptionist. This early-career position is for a candidate that obtains excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and as the first point of contact for patients, will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information accurately
- Answer the phone, take messages, screen calls and direct them to the desired recipient
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling
- Handle and resolve patient concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be open to being trained and work well within a close team
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills is a MUST
- Proficient in using computers and basic office software (e.g., MS Office)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Bilingual fluency (English and Spanish) is a plus, but is not required
