West Vancouver Secondary School
Effective February 1, 2023 until June 30, 2023
Required Qualifications and Experience
A part-time Math 8 and Science 8 position is available at West Vancouver Secondary. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Science and Math
Post-secondary coursework and/or ELL instructional certification considered an asset
Hold a valid BC Teaching certificate.
Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Core Competencies, Big Ideas, and Learning Standards for the appropriate curricular area
An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.
A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
