Location: District

Ross Middle School
Temporary: Immediately to June 30, 2023
Hours: 6.0 hours per day, for all days school is in session (Student Specific 2)
Rate of Pay:
$29.43/hour (Student Specific 2)
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Under
the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the Classroom
Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have sever physical disabilities,
chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional
and behavioural problems as designated by the Director of Instruction, and who
may require personal/physical care, such as toileting, feeding, lifting, help
with dressing, etc., while supporting the achievement of stated program goals
and objectives.
Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and
over one (1) year up to and including two (2) year’s related experience. A special program would be the Capilano
University Education Assistant Program. Specialized
training or experience specific to the defined needs of the student (i.e.
Braille, Sign Language, Augmentative Systems, Mobility Aids, etc.)
Valid
Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License. Knowledge of basic First Aid. Basic knowledge of
related learning tools (ie. computers, etc).
Competition Closes Thursday December 01,
2022 at 4:00 p.m.
