Hours: 2.5 hours per day, for all days school is
in session (Library)

Rate of Pay:
$26.64/hour (Library)
$28.32/hour (Student Specific 1)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Principal(s), and the
general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provides assistance to
students who have physical disabilities, chronic health impairments,
intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional and behavioural problems as
designated by the Director of Instruction, while supporting the achievement of
stated program goals and objectives.
Under the direction of the Teacher-Librarian and with the general
direction of the Principal performs a variety of clerical and student support
duties in school libraries.
Qualifications:
Completion
of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including
one (1) year’s related experience. A
special program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant
Program. Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s
License. Knowledge of basic First Aid. Basic knowledge of related learning
tools (ie. computers, etc). Knowledge of
database management, spread sheet and word-processing programs. Ability to operate a variety of standard
and/or related office equipment.
