POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Responsibilities
Responds to general Human Resources related inquiries from department supervisors, managers, business partners, staff and union
Assists HR Business Partners and HR Director with various projects which include maintenance and improvement of HR processes and programs and managing policies and procedures
Assists in the recruitment, selection, on-boarding and off-boarding processes
Conducts new employee orientation
Manages the Employee Engagement and Value Recognition programs
Ensures employee files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures
Assists in the investigation process and disciplinary process
Employee Relations
Manages all employee leaves and changes in accordance with Collective Agreement and Employment Standards Act
Liaises with employees, supervisors, and managers to ensure consistency and accuracy in management and documentation of leaves and changes
Provides employment verification and references
Manages driver approval list
Manages work permits
Creates new employee identification cards and oversees system for managing existing cards or replacement cards
Health and Safety
Manages all health and safety and WSIB claims for assigned caseload
Maintains accurate records regarding all health and safety incidents
Assists in all modified duties arrangements, including WSIB and non-work related illness
Assists with the creation, distribution, and analysis of annual Risk Assessment surveys
Other
Completes miscellaneous research, reports, and memos as requested
Assists with HR related questions and problems courteously and promptly
Respond to internal and external Human Resources inquiries from clients, department managers, business partners, and other parties.
Manage Leave of Absences (including STD, LTD, Parental Leaves etc.)
Assist HR Business Partners and HR Director with various projects which including maintenance and improvement of HR processes and programs
Other HR duties as assigned
