About the Assistant Controller Role
As an Assistant Controller, we will be looking to you for information on our operations. You are adept in budget analysis and decision modelling; but you also don’t mind speaking your piece around the conference table. You know that our operations are more than just the numbers, so you take your time to foster working relationships across the organization – that way you can deliver data and insight to help us improve the lives of people across the province.
Job Duties
Assists in development of monthly forecast, annual budgets, and strategic plans
Performs budget to actuals analysis and identifies key trends and areas for improvement
Assists with preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-to-date financial reports
Tracking and monitoring of results
Development of budgets for specific projects, initiatives, and proposals
Assists company leads with strategic decision making by providing accurate and timely analysis
Requirements
Bachelor of Commerce degree with focus in Accounting or Finance
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Solid understanding of accounting functions
Detail oriented and organized
Flexible and able to prioritize tasks
Proven ability to meet deadlines
Self-motivator with ability to work independently
