Position Overview:

The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site activities for Commercial/Retail, Industrial, and Institutional (ICI), including New Design/Build and Fit-Outs. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Site Superintendent coordinates with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to deliver successful construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management:
• Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
• Conduct regular site meetings to update project managers on progress and any changes in scope or schedule.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards and complies with project specifications and building codes.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and any changes to the project scope.
• Safety Management:
• Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures on the job site.
• Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to ensure all personnel are aware of safety protocols.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
• Trades Background, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in Commercial ICI Construction, including new design/build and fit-outs.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
